What's gonna be the best part of Volume III Book I? Everyone's got their own opinions, but I bet I can guess where the majority is. XD

BTW, if I were to start doing a daily poll, would that be an entertaining and interesting way to spark up conversation, or just annoying and spammy? :P

XD You sound so dismal. Your indecision is supposed to be caused by an overload of awesome, not a creeping malaise. :P

Anyway, I'm putting down duo skirmishes. Not entirely for myself, because I can see how this will be appreciated by tons and tons of people. And not just the wife/husband, BF/GF combos that seemed prevalent on the forums, but for everybody. It'll be, hopefully, not steeply more difficult that running solo, and if the rewards are greater then it should be appealing for any couple of dudes who are hanging around to pair up and hang out and kill some stuff. And if a duo's going, maybe someone else will say, "Yo, let me get a piece of that!" and make it a three-man.

If you're seeing someone in GLFF that's saying "LF5M for 2.6.8" and you need 2.6.8, you're not likely to jump into that boat if it's not going anywhere. But, hey, Skirmishes can be done with two, so it's not like you'd be twiddling your thumbs waiting for the rest of the group. You'll run duos until someone wants to jump in and make it a trio, and then if one or two other people have a Skirming bent they can duo themselves, or you can try to 5-man a 6-man... might not be too bad if you're good.

Overall, I just think it's going to trigger a lot more grouping and encourage a camaraderie of sorts. :3 Which is a weird thing for me to like 'cause normally I hate that stuff. XD

Also I want to know what the hell the new Champ skill does. :?

I'm looking forward to all of it, of course, but I voted for being able to solo Volume I, because it's easily some of the best content leading to some of the best quest rewards in the game, and now it'll be more feasible to complete it on all 8 of my alts. ;)

I figure that's probably at least as big a part of it as making it accessible to new people when everyone's off in Mirkwood...

Is cat face. Or walrus. Either way, is just a goof face.

I'm excited for all of the above, but mostly for the new epic book. I feel like they finally got back on track with V. II Book 9 after a couple of underwhelming detours in Books 7 & 8. Though to be fair, I enjoyed the design of HoM & WW.

Well, I'm with you there. Honestly, I was never really taken by the main story; it's the delivery, really, where it's coming across as just kind of flat. But I liked Book IX... after I hit a key point I regretted rushing through without reading the quest text to get access to the Skirmishes at the end ASAP. :3 Plus, I love the Rangers! So I'm all about a Volume dedicated to them and Aragorn. <3

I didn't mean it to sound dismal. I am excited for all of them, so much so I can't decide.

There's a lot I'm looking forward to, but being able to solo Vol 1 has to be at the top. Even if it's not the most revolutionary change or even the most rewarding in-game, it's enabling me to finally get through content that's been queued up for me for some time.

Vol. I solo for the reasons given, though duo skirms are nearly tied for my vote, depending on the rewards/difficulty. Sounds like they will be approx. 105% of solo SM, so not bad. Also, a little early to tell since I don't know all the details with new crafting, etc. Hard to say anything crafting could beat these other changes though. I guess the jewelry stuff is getting nerfed some as well as offering some new recipes and multi-output options like those for weaponsmithing now.
